Using the internet has become as commonplace (or more so) than using the phone. It is the primary form of communication and information in my house, and I’m sure many others. 2 laptops sit on the counter all the time. Every person who walks in the door either checks their email, checks sports scores or stocks, pays bills or Instant Messages friends. It has improved communication within family members both far and near. Forwarding important family information now takes one click of the mouse, rather than making multiple copies and sending them through the mail. The most popular use has recently been downloading and listening to audiobooks on MP3 players. It’s exciting to think about what uses are forthcoming!
