This blog entry from the Ancestry Insider has gathered various news articles about the libraries in Iowa. It is neat to see the community come together to save the university library but sad to see so many that have been lost. More info can be found at the Iowa state library blog.
It is interesting to note that some of the libraries have become gathering centers for people to find and source information needed during a crisis. It puts a new spin on the library and it makes me curious about the libraries in Idaho. What happens if one of our libraries is destroyed or becomes a gathering place in a disaster? Are there plans in place?
