Twitters from a conference; surveys, anyone?

One of my Facebook Friends is Jim Milles of the SUNY Buffalo law school. This week, he’s attending a conference on computer-assisted legal instruction. Jim is using Twitter during the conference sessions, so I’m receiving a steady stream of interesting observations and ideas.
Here’s an example:

Library catalogs as Facebook apps?!

I just learned of at least two academic libraries (one Innovative and one Voyager) that have their catalogs available as Facebook apps.
Is this a good idea? Well, it does get the library out into the space where our students live. It certainly would be interesting to hear about usage statistics from those two places!
